Somewhere around '97 I found myself just moved to Phoenix with my family. It was time for the next career phase of my life. Having found the world of computer and internet, I found myself working for a very tech savvy company. They were looking some colorful commentary for the website.
Needless to say, my wife and I at the time...well we were living paycheck to paycheck like many. On a day before we got paid, it was old mother Hubbard in fridge. There was some leftover chicken, Chinese food takeout "red" sauce and some frozen veggies. Through some creative cookery I created something edible to which I was declared "The Leftover Chef!"
In all honesty I've always had a knack for this kind of stuff. I think I got it from my dad who was the king of "hobo stew" and making something from nothing.
So...here I am still today doing what I do best. I hope if you enjoy food like me, but have a champagne taste and a beer budget you'll join me on an adventurous ride to food town.
